LABORATORY SERVICES

Our laboratory carefully analyses samples of body fluids and tissues to aid in the diagnosis and management of diseases and disease states. These laboratory investigations also include:

Clinical Chemistry Investigations – Our array of clinical chemistry assays include- Liver function tests, Serum electrolytes, hormonal assays, tumor markers, Blood lipids assay, infertility assays and others.

Hematological Investigations – Our Automated hematology Analyzers fully analyzes Full blood count- white cell count, red blood count, platelets count etc. Determnation of Erythrocytes sedimentation rate, coagulation profile and other haematology investigations are also conducted.

Microbiology – The causative agent of diseases include Bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites . Routine analysis and examination of urine, Sputum , cerebrospinal fluid, blood , faecal material help to identify this agents and determine the next step in getting the body back to wellness.

RADIOLOGICAL INVESTIGATIONS

This includes routine X-rays and ultrasound scan which are indispensable in diagnosis. Determination of Pelvic and abdominal disorders and proper monitoring of pregnancy to determine fetal well being are adequately handled by our season of certified ultrasound professionals overseen by a qualified radiologist.

ELECTROCARDIOGRAPH

For early detection of heart related diseases is conducted via the impulses produced by electrodes attached to the body , recorded and interpreted by our cardiologist.

BLOOD BANK SERVICES

Our blood bank operates a 24 hours service, it is fully accredited by the Lagos State Blood Transfusion Committee ( LSBTC) and has been involved in the safe transfusion of thousands of blood units over the years. Each unit of blood received from our facility has been successfully screened for blood transmissible infections by our laboratory and the LSBTC screening centers using the WHO accredited Eliza screening methods and safely stored according to required regulations.

FOOD HANDLERS

The faecal -oral route is a well known route of infection with occasional fatal consequences which if identified early can be reduced or completely eliminated.
A number of Investigations are available to determine this and confirm the medical fitness of food handlers to handle food and edibles for public consumption. These include stool examination and culture, mantoux ( Tuberculosis screening) , chest X-rays, screening for Hepatitis A, B and C amongst others.

ROUTINE HEALTH CHECKS

A number of medical conditions can be detected by routine regular health checks. These can then be regularly managed before the development of full blown diseases. Our health checks are available in different packages and involve a number of investigations already above.

PRE EMPLOYMENT SCREENING / IN EMPLOYMENT/ SCHOOL SCREENING

This helps to know the basal health status of an employee / student and prepares the organization adequately to manage this. This improves the efficiency of the employee and constitutes a major part of staff welfare packages. Drivers , Domestic help screening, Test for drug of Abuse are also important components of this screening.
